Conversations to Remember, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to combating loneliness and isolation among senior citizens, including those living with dementia, is seeking student volunteers.
The organization’s virtual visit program pairs teams of two to three college students with older adults for weekly video calls. Many participating seniors experience significant isolation, and regular conversations can provide meaningful connection and companionship.
Volunteers commit to approximately one hour per week, with each session lasting up to one hour, depending on the senior’s attention span and daily condition. Students select times that fit their schedules and are matched accordingly, allowing for consistent weekly visits.

Students who prefer to contribute in other ways—or who wish to volunteer additional hours—may explore alternative roles, including social media support, outreach, and call assistance. A full list of opportunities is available on the organization’s website.
